Gozo 2018

So its that time again where I have the pleasure to create a short blog about the latest Gozo trip where as usual the bulk of persons going are club members. 7 club divers and a few friends and partners enjoyed 10 day in Gozo.

The weather was pretty good throughout and provided fabulous diving conditions. I am sure a few have already seen many of the pictures taken this year including “Sea Horses” and one with me in the background. Oh and I did say Sea Horses (plural!)

The trip covered most of the usual dive sites like, The Blue Hole, Inland sea, Cathedral Cave, P31 Wreck, Comino Caves along with many others. It was great to sea our Chairman Mike and Jim Fletcher out with us all too. For those who have been before you may have seen the “Azure Window” that was an iconic landmark. This fell into the sea but wow what an underwater dive it is now. Huge boulders that rise from 40m plus almost to the surface.

We all notched up quite a few dives and I know most have already asked to come on the next trip. I still have two already booked and fully subscribed to but there will be at least one more to arrange in 2019.

One of the great things about this and other Gozo trip are that it is very social and this was no exception. We ate out most evenings and the company and location was superb.

I could wax lyrical about the merits of this dive but the photos and the repeat visits speak for themselves. I would recommend the location to you all.
