Plymouth RIB

Its proposed to arrange a club RiB weekend at Plymouth in the first half of next year, and to basically get something “UK” in the diary now, giving everyone as much notice as possible.

For the last 3 years any UK diving before the end of April has been either blown out or poor at best so we’re thinking “May”. This also gives good time for people to get it in their diaries, allow training to be completed, shake down dives at quarries made, and even maybe a couple of days out with the RiB at Teignmouth as warm ups (day dives can be easily called off without too much financial impact of hotels etc).

Looking at the tide table for next year we have neaps on the weekend of 6th/7th May. We already have several experienced divers & boat handlers interested to support the weekend. Plymouth is a fantastic site to dive from with reefs/wrecks and dives to suit ALL levels. Accommodation can be arranged from B&B’s & hotels to camping.

This is aimed specifically at arranging something for our newer members – so lets see as many new members attend as possible!

We are incredibly lucky in that the Cotswold 332 club RiB “Cotswold Diver” I think is the only one in the region with a ladder to make life much easier!

At this stage please can you let know as soon as possible if you are interested to join us at Plymouth for the weekend of 6th/7th May (no commitment required at this stage – just gauging interest!
