Curacao

I have finally put together a package for the proposed trip to Curacao.  The trip will be booked with Caribbean Funtravel who have extensive knowledge of the Dutch caribbean islands. Curacao is in the southern caribbean outside of the hurricane belt.  Temperatures are generally around 29 degrees centigrade with a cooling breeze which lowers humidity.  Water temperatures are pretty much the same at 28 degrees.

Holiday dates : Friday 22th September 2017 for 12 nights staying at the Sunscape Resort Spa and Casino on an All Inclusive basis.  The cost will be £2272 per person with 2 people sharing a room.  Single occupancy cost is £2968.   Departure will be from Birmingham.  We will fly to Amsterdam for a connecting KLM flight to Curacao. Stopover in Amsterdam is about 2 hours.  Hold luggage is transferred automatically at Amsterdam.  Luggage allowance per person is one bag @ 23kgs in the hold with a 12kgs cabin bag allowance. We return to the UK overnight, getting back to Birmingham breakfast time on Thursday 5th October.

For those people wishing to dive, there is a dive centre on the beach.  The cost of a 5 day boat diving package (10 dives) is £425.  The boats are back at the centre by 13.30.  They go back out again about an hour later for a 1 tank dive if you want to add on more.  Or, you can use the unlimited air/tank option provided with the boat diving package to shore dive the house reef.  OR, you can just grab a beer or cocktail, stretch out on the sunbed and do absolutely nothing – it’s your holiday.

For non divers, there is ample opportunity for fantastic snorkelling on the house reef as well as sightseeing and shopping in the historic capitol of Willemstad. The hotel is next door to the SeaQuarium and Dolphin Academy.  Plus, there are numerous fun things to do at hotel.

If you think you may want to join this trip but can’t commit at the moment – I would suggest you add your name to the group booking.  Caribbean Funtravel provide the service whereby they have options on the flights, which guarantees that the cost will not go up.  If flight prices come down – they pass that saving onto the client.  Also, if any deposit is paid and you have to cancel – providing it is 10 weeks prior to travel – all deposits are refundable.
