First Aid Refresher Training

Robin has very kindly offered to supply the expertise and the equipment for a first aid skills refresher training session. This will give everyone the opportunity to practice chest compressions and rescue breaths with the resusci-annies and the also to have a go with the defibrillator units plus to ask any questions around first aid techniques and current best practice etc. These are keys skills that we hope that we never need to use but are well worth practicing. It doesn’t matter if you haven’t done the BSAC first aid course or even don’t intend to do it it is still worthwhile practicing these skills.

The plan is to hold the session in the large meeting room at the Churchdown club (this is the same room as we used for the AGM so plenty of floor space and drinks on hand for those to want to make it a bit of a social occasion).

As usual Robin very kindly supplies the equipment free of charge. I would also like to offer this opportunity out to other clubs in the area but numbers will be limited so if you are interested in coming along (I appreciate that I haven’t yet chosen a date but at the moment I’m just trying to get an idea of potential numbers) please do let me know. Also if you have any ideas on how we might run the event differently i.e different venue or choice of location please do let me know.
